Our History
Sky Heights Safe Haven was founded in 2020 after recognizing a critical gap in care for young children who have experienced abuse, neglect, trauma, and exploitation. We saw that, due to limited placement options, younger children were often housed alongside much older youth, despite having very different developmental and emotional needs. We believed every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment designed specifically for their stage of life.
In September 2020, Sky Heights Safe Haven received its 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation and began building a strong foundation to provide trauma-informed, relationship-centered care. Since then, we have developed the partnerships, policies, and evidence-based programs needed to create a therapeutic home where children can heal, grow, and rediscover the joy of childhood.
Today, we remain committed to expanding specialized services that provide safety, stability, and hope for children and families across our community.
